Contract renewal

Hi there!

So, one of my players is 31 years old. His current contract is valid for next 2 seasons (this one and next one). Question is, if I renew his contract now for next 3 years, is it possible that he go on retirement next season because of his ages?
Or he must play this 3 seasons?

In other words: Can player go in retirement even if his contract is still valid for next 2 seasons (something like cancelation of contract)?

yes he can retire at any stage in his contract

How do you know when a player is about to retire? do you get some form of notification from Nordeus?
