About Contracts

I have a question about contracts which makes me confused. I'm using TopEleven with my language support, Today I had some information about players whose contracts will end end of the season. But I couldn't understand when it will exactly end, maybe it's because of lack of translation. will it end before the new season start and I have 2-3 days to renew contracts or it means that I can use that players for nexy season,too
Can you help with this problem?

Players that have contracts expired need to be signed up again for them to be available for matches for your team.

For this season, you can use them. If you still want them next season, you can renew their contract on day 1 of next season. If not, you should sell them before the end of the season.
