I have wondered this myself, and I think it might be so, because when you sell an injured player, they aren't injured when the buyer gets them, and there does seem to be a link, when I get a guy that has low condition and morale, even if I booster him, his rating is usually poor first game and sometimes it's injury. I notice especially because I don't often change out my guys, so it rather sticks out that this happens.
Expressed above is my own opinion. Your results may vary.

I never bought any injured player but I did sell my playmaker who was out for 10 days with a broken leg. Some guy bought him... God knows what happened next??? So I never buy injured players.

How can you tell/know that a player is injured or not? Are you telepathic?

Exactly you have no idea what your buying, the players i buy could all be fit and healthy but each one suffering injuries in their first game kinda makes me wonder. It would be interesting though, since not EVERY transfer i have made has had the same result. But most have been, and it always made me wonder why these players where up for sale? I mean a 18yr old 29 quality st either foot with a special ability, why sell him half way threw a season? Sure he could be a massive under performer, but why wait so long to sell him?

Who knows, it would be something worth knowing though

Unless this has been changed recently, the injury remains.
In the past I acquired injured players from the market, as have others as discussed in the forum.
