Anyone that plays only one formation?

Yeah, so I only play one formation because it is easier to get a good squad for it. My results have been good so far and am wondering whether it is worth buying players to play other formations. (I play 4132 so have six mc which makes it easy to buy players and can always play it even if I have 3 players out, compared with 442 if both my left wingers were out, I cant play the formation)

The only thing I manage are my orders really. Have you found your results have generally improved with changing formations?

It pretty much depends on your quality, if your like 10Q better than the rest of your league then playing one formation is fine. This season my best players (quality and rating wise) push me to play 4-5-1 v style, though I have a squad large enough to play most formations. If my quality is a lot better than my opponents I wont try and counter it as there is no need too. Id maybe sell some of your mcs and buy other positions as its unlikely that youll have more than 3 of them injured at one time

I do .. I never change my formation based on the opponent team .. I think that the players make the difference not the formation .. I ony lost 3matches in this season and i will show u the results of 2of them, home and away ..

as you can see i played with the same formation all those fixtures but the results are very different ..

I play season two with
4 or 3 back normal. My backs can go forward but I don't use red arrows
dmc if needed
I play 4 or 5 middle , my wingers go forward.
I play 2 , mostly 1 stk.

My goal scorers don't come from Gks and for some reason one dc!!!

I use mc as Amc when experimenting.

I play with the same formation and don't change ever ! I tried a couple of formations a few seasons ago and lost 3 out of 4 games so gave up with that, keeping the same formation works for me !!

I have a question. My husband was going to play top eleven, on our Ipad. while he is innstalling the gamme and want's to play it seems he is logged in on my Facebook Account.
so he removed the game logged in on his Facebook account and installed the game again, but he is stil connecting on my Facebook account. is there any way to change this??

Do you have a web browser to play it through? I think this is the only way, the IPad is like a phone, linked to you since you used the app.

I stay with the same formation, keep my team condition good, team morale in ship shape and a nice bit of squad rotation. Works in my favour most of the time. Few 9-0's, 5-0's and things like that.

I think change formation in order to counter is unnecesary. Players make the difference, not formation. You expect too much from a facebook game.

Formations do make a difference or there would be no penalty for illegal formations

You know not enough to be commenting on a simple facebook game :)

I know illegal formation affect possession. And also put players out of position. But i have been playing this game for the last year and i can tell you counter formations are unnecesary. Choose your better players, put them on their positions and of course, use legal formation (you know: three defenders, one striker, flanks...). And then you wait dices are with you. These stories that say if oponent use amc, then you must use a dmc...bla bla bla bla. Nothing real. The only important thing important with formation is use legal formations. That i can tell by my experience.

I had told counter formation are unnecesary. You had understood formation arent important. But i hadnt told that. My friend, "you dont know reading enough".

And of course, top eleven is a facebook game. A simple facebook game. Repit message: SIMPLE facebook game. If you want a serious game of manager, try other places....football manager, for example.

Yes i see you say that counter formations arent necessary but You quite clearly state that 'players make the difference, not formation' or am i wrong?

You are wrong because we are talking about counter formation and change formation. It is obvious that you must avoid using and illegal formation. If you play legal formation, players make the difference.

Youre asuming that everyone that reads your comment knows about illegal formations so its you that is wrong. Also if your players are alot better than your opponents you dont have to counter them.

no we don't have a browser where he is playing the game.

i wil ask this again in a new post. i did'nt see it before...

generally stay very close to one formation, but can tweek it around. tend to change to rest some players or when playing in CL or cup

I really think that formations can make a diference. I am current at level 3, i played against 1 of the times that are like me looking to be irst in the league. First macth i played 442 at home he 451V Style, i lost 2:0, second match he 451Vstyle at home me 433 i won 2:1. And i have more exemples this season.

About the ipad, you can not be logged in on the facebook in the browser, otherwise the account that Opens is the open that is registered in the browser.

Oh well, so only one account per Ipad? will keep that in mind, cos it works on android

You can have more than one, what you need to do is log out the t11 each time and also in facebook, then you can change it.
If yours facebook is always open, you can only open the account in t11 that is conected to that account. You can not have the option of save username and password.

To have one base formation is normal and in lower levels not a handicap.
But going up not having alternatives gives a huge disavantage. As op's example, he cant field wingers so would he face an equal or better team playing on the middle he couldnt exploi his flanks and would have to bet on random outcome from the ai. Having at least 2 wingers you could use would be better indeed

Versatility is key in this game more than people know.

Think about it: if you go up against someone of equal quality and has a formation known to "own" your 4-4-2 that you use every game, why would you continue to play 4-4-2 and not counter his formation?

FORMATION is key in this game, not so much quality players. how many times has my scout ST gone up against a 2-3* DC and not scored??? I have beaten higher quality teams with better players frequently and this just proves that formation means something. I sometimes put in my second string team into games that mean nothing near the end of the season and win against better players, and this comes down to formation and tactics and possibly the troll engine, but it is plain to see that some formations will win most of the time versus certain formations. Anyone who cant see that is ignorant.

I am not disagreeing that having different formation is better. The question is how much? Does it matter so much that it is worth it?

I think longer term, I will try to get more versatile players to play different formations. But as a non gold buying it is not easy getting a good player nevermind a versatile one. I dont have the luxury of buying scouted players nor red packs.

One reason I choosed to play 4132 is that having 6 mcs means I can soak up a lot of injuries.. And yes I do get a lot injuried. Whereas if I have only two ml or aml, even one injury would mess me up when I have two games a day and my green packs would be depleted asap. I wouldnt have been able to compete on all front and sure as hell wouldnt have won my treble last year.

Would l get better results with all my players to play different formation? Yes. But over the course of the season with all the injuries? I am not sure.
