How long do I have to sign a youth player?

I've just got my first two youth players, one of them needs 24T to sign him but I don't have 24T right now, how long will the player be available for me to sign cus if I gotta save up 24T it's gonna take a while!

They also age and lose a star when promoted at the weekend.

It's the major flaw of the youth system, they tend to arrive at bad times of the season and usually lack a bit of quality for the tokens you pay, although they are fast trainers.

Yeah a shame, I saw a guide on the forum though so u can time building ur academy so you get the youth players at the start of the season, I guess you could then take the sponsorship deal where you get all your tokens up front. Just a thought.

the academy gestation rate is not the same as the season, making it only cyclically possible to get them when you would wish...
