My defender Thiago Silva played around 435 appearances for my club.

Champions league final in year 2. No score and neither team is breaking through. Then my best striker gets injured right at halftime and I have to substitute my third choice striker, who was an original player on my team and had been good in year 1.

H proceeded to rack up 3 goals in short order and led my team to a 3-1 victory.

I can't bring myself to sell him now. It's the end of year 3 now, he barely played this year and didn't score, and he'll be a 2-star player next year. And he just sits in my reserves

I quite often look at really old threads. They were Lot more interesting then the recent ones

I never keep them more than 1 season.
I'm lev 3, the day after tomorrow i'll be lev 4.
No matter how good they are, if they are less than 4 stars, they will be no good.
So, make transfers in the last days of the season, buy good grades 5 star players.

I normally don't keep players past 24/25 but I currently have a player who's about to turn 28 that I've had for about 6/7 seasons. Only reason I've kept him is he can play as a ST & AMC & AML and has a shadow striker trait. He's currently 6 stars. I'll probably keep him for another season & get rid.

Eh, bumping dead old *interesting* thread is a good thing. I like this topic, as I do not like selling players. I wish I could keep some of my guys forevers.

Mismilliano Porceddu, my veteran left back with Defensive wall SA is now officially my longest serving player. This is his 4th year in the main team. But I feel he will not remain in the main team for long as he is now only 3* and as soon as I am able to buy a suitable replacement for him, he will be my sub. I am planning to sell him early next season.
He has been an exceptional player and that is why he has been able to stay 4 years in my club, wherenplayers rarely stay for o seassons. He still gets good ratings of 7 or 8 with occasional goals as well(last season he scored 4 goals, highest among the defenders)
