i wonder what advantages did he seek by doing so..

i am not really sure about that.. one thing i know for certain is, he wasted some tokens on that player. the player cannot be transferred to both his clubs. the winner is only one. so if knockout round goes until, let's say, 5th round, then he must have wasted 5 tokens minimum. worse, he also increases the player cost, which is unnecessary. and btw that player is also not very good to me..
Yeah it's not cheating, if he is only wasting tokens and money like that.
Cheating = Getting an unfair advantage
In this case, he is not giving himself an advantage, he is basicly doing the opposite, giving others an advantage, since they have to spent less tokens.
If you click twice You will be like that. It's not cheating but you will waste a lot of tokens. this is only one person and one id

I think he don't care about the tokens and he has too much from it .. so he did that to increase the selling price for the player and may be he own that player with 3rd account so he wanted to sell him expensive ... this one case.
the 2nd case he is so stupid and he though by doing this all players will withdraws ... and this Likely what he did
i think he isn't smart either way. maybe because lack of experience since he is only level 2. if he wants to do like you said, as a seller he will get higher price but also lose some tokens for sure (in this case it's worse since the tokens lost will be multiplied by two). token can be converted to money and i don't think he will get any advantages of doing thatI think he don't care about the tokens and he has too much from it .. so he did that to increase the selling price for the player and may be he own that player with 3rd account so he wanted to sell him expensive ... this one case.

and more importantly, market value doesn't increase by a bidding war. market value of player still as is. that's why you should avoid unnecessary bidding war since that will get you pay extra cost for obtaining that player
This is a visual bug more then sure, it happen to me many times :P
