I am tanking the season and have been able to make a more than decent line-up for a team with 35T budget. I currently have 13T but have no cash. I have only 1.5 Million $ and can't buy anything with it as I am level 7 and nothing gud comes below 4.5 million. I am therefore saving that for contract extensions of 3 players.
Having said that, I am really confused about whom to play and whom to not next season. I have about 13 players out of 19 in total who are more than good enough to be in my Playing 11. Find pics of my squad on the page 2 of this thread.
So, to start, I will speak of my GK who is 21 yo very fast trainer, just 2 skill points away from 5 star. He is my main and my sub keeper is 5 star 22 yo( surprising, isn't it). The reason is my 5 star keeper is pathetic, atleast this season. Last season I bought him as a 5* and was gr8. This season, he was pathetic with form of 4-5-4-6-4 and I lost many matches becoz of him. So bought this new keeper Etm and replaced this useless Graikos. I made Graikos is playing my ST as I am preserving my ST for next season and he was just fair enough. Next season no one will lose a star so I will buy some 3 starrer and sell graikos off for 6-7 million.
So far it is fine.
In defence, I have a gr8 DL who is 4* defensive wall with avg form of 7.6. My sub DL is low 3 star defensive wall. I have my best player, a five star 23 yo free kick specialist as my DR( he can also play DC). So I got to keep both these DL and DR. My sub DR is 3 star 32 yo guy. I have 2 gr8 DCs, one a 22 yo fast trainer named Ugarte who had the most MoM last season and has and avg form of 7.8. My other DC is my favourite, a 4* Aerial defender whose avg form is 8.4!!!! He had most MoMs this season( I have not won enuf matches). So these 2 defenders are necessary as I want to keep 4 at the back every match. But prob is, I can keep only 3. I have a 4 star DMC Ortega whom I bought 2 seasons ago as a 5*, who turned 6* that season and is 4 star now. He was gr8 last 2 seasons but is not gud enof now. His avg form is 5.8 only. So I think of keeping him out so as to have the 4 at the back. Mcs are another problem. I have 4 amazing ones, a 5 star 33 yo who will retire next season, will have to make him play as he scored a lot and is my first choice for Penalty and corners as I have no specialists. Another MC is a 4* dribbler who also scores a lot and is in good form. So I have to play these two. Both of them are right footed. I have two more 4* players, one 24yo named lauridson who is a skill point better than the 27 yo Christie and will continue to be better as he is younger. Lauridso is either footed while Christie is right so I want to play Lauridson as the left MC, the five starrer as central MC and the 4* dribbler and right MC. Christie I will keep as a sub and will sub him in case of injuries or bad form or will just sub him for the sake of green booster. In AMC, I have a 4* Domingos who is not in good form so yesterday I bought another AMC who is 1Q better and is right legged( Domingos is left footed). He looked good in the friendly he played today and will have to check him out in the League match tonight. I will keep him as the main if he is good and will occasionally play both my AMCs. I have a 4* free kick specialist who is good as ST. I also have a 3 star sub ST and my sub keeper can also play my 2nd ST( a bit possession penalty). So here is tand.

If opponent has an AMC and 2 ST, I will reduce and MC and play my DMC while if he 2 AMCs and only 2 ST, I will remove my AMC Domingos to play my DMC and give my central MC blue arrow. I can also play five at back by making my DR play Dc which he can and play my sub DR who is also good.

Tanking the season saves you money. Of course you miss out on the Top7 winnings but you dont need it if you tank. You know to set the win bonus to ZERO to allow you to maximize profits.

In your case you have a ton of 4* with a few 3/5*. I find the ratings are a waste of time and energy since they are never consistent. They do this rating thing to make people waste tokens. But we know this already. People try to understand this without any explanations from Nordeus, but all we can do is speculate while Nordeus sits back and does nothing to help us.

Anyways, make it easier for us to understand and we will give you an easy answer.

I know ratings are a waste and have criticized them on many occasions already. That's why I only mentioned ratings of my defenceas they really did a good job this season and for them I find the ratings satisfactory. I just meant that I agree with those ratings. My AMC got rubbish rating and I agree with that too as he did nothing much. So I mentioned only those whose ratings I agree with.
I would have loved to post pics as it would have saved me typing time and you reading time and patience. But I play on android, a Samsung Galaxy Device, and so can't take screenshots. I tried taking pics of the game screen with camera and webcam but pics don't come clear and as u know, on a phone only 6 players fit on the screen at once so it makes it difficult to understand in pics.

Saransh, you are almost there. you should paste them into Paint and rotate them so they are easier to read.

Still, not bad.

Not only that, but at no time EVER should you show how many tokens you have. People use that info in bidding wars if they can get it.

Without knowing the actual Quality of each player I can only guess at who is better.

I went back are re-read your post and realized you plan to play without wingers, which is fine but you are limiting yourself to formations without any width, which leaves you with harder games if you need to attack down the flanks versus some formations that attack down the middle like the narrow diamond. I am just saying what I would do if I was inheriting your team.

At the end of the day, every one of my accounts has at least 7 defenders, 10 midfielders and 3 strikers and 2 GK.
That leaves me with 2 players that can cover any and every position for any formation.
The only formation that leaves me vulnerable is any formation with 3 ST. Since I dont like that, I only ever need 3 ST.

Here we go:

1) You have no AML, AMR, MR, ML, DML or DMR.
2) You have 7 players over 30, 3 of them are 33 or more.
3) Get rid of 3 MCs - Lythe and Ayuk and Ledent
4) Buy another DMC, preferably a DC/DMC
5) buy an AML/ML
6) Buy an AMR/MR
7) Sell your 31 yo ST - Krushovski.
8) Sell Migel and buy an AMC/AMR or AMC/AML for cover.
9) Buy a DML/ML or DL/DML
10 Buy a DMR/MR or DR/DMR

You have 2 open positions, I would fill them with the ML/MR positions first as you cant even do a proper 4-4-2 without them.
I find DML/DMC/DMR to be an extremely useful position. Well worth investing in.

Like I said, I know what I would do to make your team better, but its up to you to decide what kind of team you want. My team is versatile, and can play any way I want in any formation. Yours, as it stands, is limited (you can play players out of position but I would not take the chance that there is a minor penalty in skill and/or morale as I want every advantage I can get versus the troll engine.


Here is an example of my team:



I am tanking this season and will be building up the 3/4 * to 4/5*, while replacing my last 2* with a 4* 19yo MC. Next to go is Oliviera, 26yo DC with Aeriel. i will most likely sell him to my other account as he will gain a star or 2 and is still very useful for 6 tokens as sometimes it is tough to get a good DC with aerial SA for 6 tokens.

Yup. The 34yo will retire. I did a mistake by not selling them off at the end of last year. I will keep Ortega(30 yo) till I don't find a replacement for him so will sell him next season most probably.

3) Get rid of 3 MCs - Lythe and Ayuk and Ledent

Can't do that as Lythe and Ayuk will retire at season end. Ledent will definitely announce retirement next season, I bought him by mistake. I saw a 5 star MC, only 6-7 sec left so I bid and won, on the 3rd day of season. But I want to keep him as he is of good Q and might click next season. My cash will be wasted if I sell him now and it is the end of the season so I will keep him.

4) Buy another DMC, preferably a DC/DMC

Right. I thought of that but didn't have enough cash. Don't have a replacement DC and if I need it, I will have to make my DR/Dc Arrieta play DC and blum play DC. He will be my next buy.

5) buy an AML/ML
6) Buy an AMR/MR

I don't find good wingers on my TL, most of them are just 3 starrrers and if any 4* appears, there is a rampage over them. I will need to save tokens for that buy and will also need to have enough cash as the bidding may go into many rounds. I always wanted to play 4-4-2 but never had any ML/ MR. If I buy I will buy only 2 players, one who can play ML/AML and other who can play MR/AMR.

7) Sell your 31 yo ST - Krushovski

Will definitely do that. I am not actually playing the formation I have showed right now in the pics. Since I am tanking, I am playing all my subs. I showed the pic of the team I am planning to play next season. So I need Kurshovski right now as the weak player, I will sell him on the first day next season as he is 31 yo and his MV won't drop. I will also sell my other ST Erdogan and buy another 4 star or maybe 5 star ST early next season as I have enough T and will get the cash by selling players.

8) Sell Migel and buy an AMC/AMR or AMC/AML for cover.

Agree on selling AMC, but not Migel, I will sell Domingos as he has not done anything this season and has misses a lot!!! I agree he is younger but I will still not keep him as he will not be able to keep up his Q next to next season. He is actually 1Q below Migel. I know you didn't know that.

9) Buy a DML/ML or DL/DML
10 Buy a DMR/MR or DR/DMR

I don't think I will need a DML or DMR. If my opponent has wingers, my DL and DR are enough to take him on. I won't even have enuf cash to buy DML and DMR, after buying a DMC, a ST and Wingers. Thanks anyway.

U have a good team for 35T budget I must say, and u have managed to have players covering all positions. Thanks a lot for your advice. I agree with most points of it and will think about the other few.
