This is how I know something is not above board at Nordeus.

I got the wrong screenshot, so I wont post it, but it was supposed to show his team. it is a token buyer, has 22 players of 5* or better and enters a bid for a 4* player that is 5* for me and one I need.

There was absolutely no reason why he would need this player as he had a few DC/DR already and they all had SA and were 6*, so to pick up this 4* player was just not necessary. and I gave up after 9 rounds (10T), but the 3rd bidder kept going and I was so disgusted I just exited out and didnt care who won.

So we have idiots out there bidding on players they dont need. I have seen a few people "moan" about this recently.
Now I have actually seen it with my own eyes. The problem is that he wasnt an automatic last second bidder. So that is what threw me. If he bids at the last second, every round like clockwork, I am out of there much sooner as I know its a Bid-Bot.

I don't necessarily think they're bid-bots, but there for sure are people out there who bid for the fun of irking others, like a small power trip, yeah?

I always bid with 8 seconds left, always. I want people to think that i'm a bot and to give up quickly. Of course most of them do a friend request check after the bidding is over to see if i'm a bot or not. Of course, i don't welcome any of their requests, love to feed their fears :)

Recently saw a team with 4 GK, one 5 star and others 4 star and 3 stars, bidding for another free agent GK which i needed to make money!!!!! Not that he was low on budget. I have a screenshot, will post when i have time.

I'm not revealing my personal strategy but it is along these lines.

I always bid right after the next round started, this makes people mad. It means that I got some Tokens and won't give up, with that method I've won great players.

I use the same strategy , right after next round, plus my Arsenal badge says them .. give it up people, I dont remember last time when I lost auction, but to be fair I dont buy that many, only first day of the season. Thats it

I disagree. It does not mean that you have tokens, it means you dont bother with last minute bidding. I know, because I bid first every round. It shows Im serious and I want the player and that bidding last minute is NOT going to win you the player, so you are in this for the long run, however long it takes you to lose. That is what I mean when I bid first.

I tend to bid early for 1st few rounds until just 2 bidders left ,then when he thinks he's in the lead and i havnt bid he thinks ive give up then bang last second try to win !!! but lack of tokens means I try not to go over 3 or 4 rounds !!!!

This is a strat that everyone uses for the most part. AS you get up in levels, these tricks dont work as often, or at all.

or they could be actual nordeus employees secretly screwing with us
i smell a conspiracy

i too saw this, they were going into round 30ish for a free trany, funny thing is there were better players but no ones going after them

Some have seen something strange. Do we know they exist for sure? No. Do we see things that lead us to believe that its possible? YES. Nordeus has shown that they can be morally and ethically bankrupt and would not be above doing such things. What I saw last night was just stupid....seriously....a level 10 player bidding on a 4* (63Q) player that would have been the worst player on his 22 player squad. And there was an even better one (64Q 18yo) available 5 mins later. Think about it, this is not a serious token buyer trying to replace a 23yo 6* DC/DR with aerial with a fast training 18yo DC/DR with no SA. This was a serious token buyer replacing a 6* scout DC/DR with aerial with an 18yo 4* medium trainer.

I dont buy the arguement that people waste tokens just to be an asshole. I do believe that there are people out there that are friends or employees of Nordeus and have been given free tokens to be able to enter auctions to make people waste their tokens. What I saw last night was proof that this happens.

i just call them bid-bots because it fits. It is not hard to believe that they can do this. Nordeus is doing everything possible to get you to buy tokens. If that means creating false accounts and giving them free tokens (which costs nothing to them), then I believe that they would do this. I dont trust Nordeus because they dont communicate. That is a sign that something is wrong.

So true.

The problem is as long as they can use the "people do strange things" as an excuse...well thats what you'll get from the official side. But it actually kinda proofs that you have a point.

i hardly even bid anymore.. only after day 10 or so and on the first few 5* players after the new day starts..

Still sticking to my early morning buys. Hardly ever get any bidders at 5-6 in the morning.

Who puts players for sale at 5-6 A.M.? Glad they're there for you tho.

Well, for me it means that it shows that a player is not going to stop bidding after a few rounds and also that a player really wants the player from the transfer market (what you said). I've experienced that if a player is bidding against another player who is bidding right after the round started, the auction will have dozens of rounds. I didn't experience that when players kept bidding at the last second, those auctions often end after 10 rounds, atleast that's what I've seen.

I think i have a reputation with Thailand player`s on transfer market because when i bid they stop !!

edit; think Thai player`s have complained to Nordeus so they have stuck 4 Thai teams in my league so they can get revenge in league :)

There is nothing *worse* (read: STRANGE) when a manager with a 2-3* team is bidding for a high Q-youth....and keep on bidding, bidding and bidding and then ends up winning or pulling out after +20 rounds....:rolleyes:

what`s 20 round`s ?? never got past 7 without winning :)

I just went 17 rounds for a 26yo 5* DC/DR with corner. this was legit and the guy didnt want to give up even though he didnt need it. too bad because i needed it. my other DC/DR was 2* and I needed him. some real assholes bidding today.

Incredibly lucky, that. I have gone more than 7 and lost, but only a couple times, and I'm not sure how many was the longest I lost, over 20 for sure...but I also for sure remember the very next player I outbid the very same Turkish dude. :D I stopped doing that. Now I have better plans, I don't bid on players that I expect to lose on. (Which is to say: I only go for the most egregiously expensive players, during the slowest part of the season... and I make sure I have enuff tokens anyway. I also avoid that guy <even though I've faced him a few times in CL> and all when the Asians are awake, I don't bother bidding, ever anymore.) Even with my crazy lack of dignity a few times, my average T per player is down to around 4 now.
