Seems some players do well in Cup n some in League

I'm not sure if coincidental, I've at least 5 players with such big difference, eg with a lot of goals and assists in Cup matches but dismal in League, and vice versa

Maybe I should classify them as Cup players or League players

This is somewhat true. I have players who have a terrible record and some who do better in the Champions League. That is why in important games, I look at their record in the competition and play the players who are on form.
