The price should be whatever they want to charge for it. It doesn't affect the game itself, so it shouldn't matter much as you don't need it for the game elements (maybe to scare people out of bidding I guess).
They probably have to pay a hefty amount for official logos and such too, so I can't see them lowering the price anytime soon as acquiring official logos and jerseys seems to be the only thing they spend any of the profit they make on.
