why that guy can afford that .. and yesterday the game didn't allow me to place a bid asking me to buy more token .. when i have a bid of £1.02m while my account had £1.01m? it only offered me a chance to pay by token to get more cash? did they removed the option to pay and be in negative and balance the books by 7 days?

I used to get that sometimes, but then the player would usually go to the last bidder shown on the player's profile on the auctions list.

You have to have enough money to make the initial bid. After that, you can sign other players or build something which might take you below the amount you bid. Once you qualify for the knockout rounds you can keep going until you get the player.

yep this have happened me too, after 30tokens great, u cant even see how it ended after all -.-

It's sad but understandable. People get competitive and don't like to lose. Especially when it's some rich kid with his daddy's credit card. I keep away from the transfer wire. Usually I'll buy later in the season to set my squad up for next season, then buy two scout players when the season starts. Let the rich kids bid themselves into oblivion. It seems the transfer wire is far worse with outlandish bidding between level 4-8 or 9. My level 11 squad has better luck with transfers than my level 6 squad, where it's impossible to win five star transfers.

That's just it. A 22 year old scout player will likely level up to seven stars before too long, and you can get four seasons out of him. A five star transfer will usually not level up, unless you get a youngster, and will be almost obsolete after two seasons. Who's foolish with their 98 tokens?

I trained my scout to 8* last season, at 7* now he will remain at 7* for next season through natural growth. He will be kept for another 3/4 seasons before he sticks at 4* and will be confined to the reserves.. So by the 6th season he will be gone. So buying a young scout is good for the long run.
