Attacking down only one side ... advice needed

So I got done 1-4 at home in the first leg of the cup semi, not nice but my opponent is 2 levels higher, and I accepted I got beat by the better team.
I've all but written off the second leg, winning 4-0 just isn't gonna happen..... but ...
I've just checked his team formation and noticed he's sold off a lot of his best players .. I assume in preparation for next season. (He thinks it's all over already .. but it's only half time))
He's left himself very very weak on his right side, which has given be hope of a come back.
I'm tempted to attack down only his right flank, but am worried this will be too limiting as I need to try and score 4 goals (and concede none).

Should I attack only on his weak side or keep to a mixed attack? (he plays a standard 4-4-2 formation)

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated ))

If the right side is weaker, than attack it. Otherwise you will waste time with players going left or through middle.

I think 4-4-2 that is one diagram attacking and defense, if you want attacking, You should 4-3-3.

Don't attack one flank with 4-3-3 though. There are no wingers at all

Yesterday I went down left side against the top of the league and one 2-1. So that helped me retain my 2nd rank.

Many thanks to everyone who posted advice ))

I attacked down the weaker side and won the game 2-3, losing 4-6 over the the two legs.

Although we're out I'm proud of the lads effort on the pitch today, and it's kept morale high for the league game later

    Good luck to all
