UP and DOWN arrows in tactic's screen

Hi,

could anybody explain me the meaning of tactic arrows.
My concern is that I see several ways how to treat them.

For instance UP arrow could mean:

1. player run forward when he posses the ball;
2. player run forward when team posses the ball;
3. player run forward all the time;
4. other variants;

DOWN arrow:

1. player run back when he posses the ball;
2. player run back when team posses the ball;
3. player run back when opponent posses the ball;
4. player run backall the time;
5. other variants;

Red arrows mean player is more attacking when your team are on the attack and on the defence that player moves back to his own position. Blue arrows mean the player is more defensive when the team is defending and will move back to normal position when they are on the attack.

not sure if dv8r version is correct ...
am confused if it mean:
A- player mentality (red means player focused more on building next attack rather than focusing in defending) ..
B- player will move his position up or down more .. (meaning a DM with red could be more like another CM s he try his best to go up more)

it's more of B. If you have a red arrow on a DMC, he will turn into an MC when your team are in possession and back to a DMC when the opponent has the ball

I think you're pushing it too far. You know that the game in not happening in real ? If we are convinced that these arrows are not totally effectless, we can presume at most that your player will be a bite more offensive when your team is attacking. That's all.

Dont really know if its work(arrow) i 'm in level 13 now, way back when i was in level 2 i have no clue how it work so i played without using the arrow. That season i won my first triple crown with unbeaten run. So i have my doubt bt somehow it work maybe bt to little effect.

I always keep red arrows of fullbacks... They pretty much act as a 2nd winger and do assist.
