....what if my club left only 10 players after the injury crisis? Walkover by other team? Scary thought but with the mounting injuries, it's not an impossible scenario

Yes if you cannot field a team it's a 3-0 win for the other side. I sell guys if I need to get men enough for a team (my general rule is if i have four injured and no more packs, one is going up for sale) you don't want to lose by default.
