When you Retire...( may you never look forward to it)

When you retire as manager and hang up your hair dryer, what is it that you hope to have achieved and been successful at ,in this game?

Hopefully you are one of those who do achieve the dreams and success that you, as a football manager, aspire to. I, as many of your fellow listening posts and sounds boards, do honestly wish you success on your never ending journey, experiments, frustrations and hoo-yahs. I do hope frustration never drives you away, nor that you have wasted time, effort nor resources.

I really want to know, what do you, as an individual manager, want, when you finally abandon the boys, whom hopefully, have served you well and brought many a smile and a few 'eff' it's to your lips.

I, first
I hope to have, by then, built a squad of 22 who can play most games at a minimum rating of 8. Each and every one for at least one season.
The search is to find the right player for the right position. If I come short...eff..it... I have had fun so far..

I don't want much when I retire ... just maybe ..umm .. a free box in the posh glass bit of the stadium, with complimentary beer and hotdogs ..

oh .. and a small statue outside would be nice .. nothing fancy .. 20 .. 30 ft high .. bronze maybe ..

and um .. maybe a stand named after me..

and a big payoff so I can retire in comfort, with maybe a new contract to become an overseas ambassador for the club ..

oh and maybe if the club gives me some shares / part ownership as I helped to shape the future so much ..

ah and maybe if it's not too much trouble name a match day a season after me where fans and players alike clap and cheer the good old days when I was in charge
