in low level, at the starting of the season average of 14 best player is about the same. if opponent 25 you are 25 +/- 1. no more than that. Distance may happen in top of level in lacks of teams but not level 1-2.
But.
Q25 = 1 team has been promoted from level 1 so he is level 2
Q25 = 1 team 3* level 4 last season and now he get promoted and he will be level 5 in this season.


in fact, all is ok if level 5 team don't buy anyone, inactive. you'll beat him EASILLY. if he is a person who manipulate the draw like HULIANO did. he, level 5 can buy Q44 player, and kick your ass.
you can only face level 6 team if your 14 best players average is better than 30, OR there is a level 6 team he keep at least 1/3 his player from the begining and still get promoted to season 6

in the worst case

Q25 = 1 team with 11 player about Q10 or even lower, and 3 other about 80 Q = 3 * to level 15. and he will be level 16 in this season. he'll buy his new 11 player 99Q and laugh at your team what ever you do even rise all team to legend to reach Q49

But I think theoretically you can only play against teams 6 levels max in difference. 99Q vs 49Q is 10 levels ) Perhaps I should create another account and to try it myself to test if there is no limit on the difference of levels in the Cup :P
