What's the point of the cup??

I assigned my skill points, so that i get high level opponents in the cup.
I got level 7, so more money for me.
Last season, the best team in the cup, level 6 to my level 3, kncked me out in the semifinal.
The money you can get out off playing the seme league opponents in the cup, does not cover even 1 good young player.
So i will take the money form the cup, and win the league and CL, anytime

I won my 2nd season cup playing with level 4s and my 3rd season cup with level 5s. Currently, 4th season with level 7s. I don't bother looking at player levels, all that matters is their team quality.

I made it to the semi finals last season at level 15 cup and i was level 12 with a full 6* squad (not so good compared to others :/ )
So yeah,it IS possible to win in higher level cup and as JF said it is a great honour if you win the Shark Cup

You are wrong.
The rewards in the cup depend on the highest level participant.

The cup is a great way to make money. On the margin, cup wins are a lot more valuable than league wins.

Just curious how are cup opponents match-ed. Is it always by quality?

I seen quite a few opponents that are 4-5 points higher quality, 3-4 levels higher than me. Always seem to be matched with almost impossible opponents.
