Where do they go if I don't sign them? Will they go into auction? Meaning, theoretically I could bid for them and possibly end up getting the player for a few tokens that would normally have cost me 28 to sign from the youth academy?!

A 18 aged Nordeus generated player has more quality (you can buy a high 5 * one), you can look for the one that has the position you need, and he is as fast trainer as the Token Young. The difference is that you have to pay a lot of money for him and the Young Man is for free, but in general you will be able to hire him using a few Tokens. With 28 T you can buy a lot of money to hire at least two Nordeus generated players. Conclusion: the Token Young is never worth it (if you know when to retire in a potential bid war)

Tokens youths can be worth it when there is bidding wars all the time for the few young players available, especially as you level up.

I believe like all released players they become Free Agents, but I don't think you see them on your TL. Just a suspicion, really. I have got a fast training FA before. And too have released youths but couldn't see them.

the way see it, if you don`t sign a 4* player then will be offered on a free to the level above meaning they are a 3* player to them (bidding war for 18yr old free transfer), this is what bugs me a league above release a 4* star player yet do we EVER see a 5* free transfer, now that would be a bidding war !!!

Interesting, I never knew where they got put, but that makes sense. Next time I release from a team below I will look (yes I have adjacent teams).

I've allowed my token youth to sit on my squad for 7 days and then get released. I checked my mail and it was mentioned there with a link to his name. But when I clicked on the link, he didn't exist anymore. No info screen for him at all. So, I don't think he becomes a free agent at all. I think he is derezzed (TRON reference).

I dont know for sure, i sign them all.
Most of the time they are good trainers, and wonderfull players.
In my maine Team i have 5 players from my academy.
In other i have 7 and 1 player from level 1
In other also 5 players.

but i think they just dispeared, because lost of people dont sign the U21 player, and i only saw 1 or 2 times a young free agent.

It depends on the level you play. Getting good players for fair prices becomes harder with each level from my experience.
