What to do against 5.0 weaker teams?

Today i got a league match against a player who got:

Average age: 29.3
Main squad Av. skill: 27.8

My Team:

Average age: 21.8
Main squad Av. skill: 32.6

At home with possession 58-42 I lost 1-3. Shot efficiency was 17-38. Morale and Condition Max.

I know game engine is very bad and it is only 5th game, but I invested some money and I am disappointed with the result. What can you advice me? Do I have to worry about it?

can you capture the 2 formations thats of you and for your opponent ?
maybe his one counter that of you ..
also , maybe he used (Win Bonous) that encourage players to play better ..

My Formation 4-4-2, his 3-5-2

My team is fairly good, young, gets one defeat every 20 games and today I loss 4-0 against a much weaker team fielding 2 star players and not even one 5 star. Mind you I had 60% possession and my opponent was not even online.

I've come to find out that most final results are already decided when the game starts.

yes, but I think only few, in my opinion:

3N-1-4-2 is NOT beaten by 4-5-1 V-Style

3N-1-4-2 is beaten by 4-2-2-2 Hexagon or 4-4-2 Classic
4-4-2 Classic is beaten by 4-3N-2W-1 (red arrows for middle MC, AML, AMR, ST) or 4-5-1 Flat (red arrows on ML, middle MC, MR, ST)
4-5-1 V-Style is beaten by 4-3N-3 (and maybe by 3N-1-4-2)
4-1-4-1 is beaten by 4-1-2-1-2 ND
4-3W-1-2 and 4-3W-2N-1 is beaten by 4-1-4-1
4-1-3N-2 is beaten by 4-3N-2W-1 and 4-5-1 V-Style
4-1-3W-2 is beaten by 4-2-2-2 Hexagon or 4-4-2 Classic
