If you want a better Cup draw then have three or four (or even more) 1* players in your squad.
This will bring down the average rating of your whole team and you will be drawn against lower quality teams in the cup, but still have your top quality 17 or 18 players to choose from.

I dont think this is proven. there are people who have pointed out that its your top 14 players averaged, so having a few 1* players means nothing.

Its thru. Last season I buy some 3* players to low down my average quality. But NORDEUS calculate only 11-14 players I think.

I played a guy in the cup in season 5 or 6 and my average quality was 2 above his, although he was 2 levels above me.
Checked his team and he had 13 players 7* and above and 9 3* (1* to him) players.
He beat me easily and went onto win the cup that season as all the other teams were around the same average level.
Someone also posted something similar a week or so back with screenshots of a team half scout and above and half one * with a nice low average quality.

If you have 500-600T per season this is quit simple. At the end of the season you sell oll players and by 3* ducks. At the morning of new season you go to scoute list by 10 scoutes and the go to auction list by some desent 5* players and you have around 10-15 Q advantage over your opponents in CUP.
