I think the game engine is just screwed to be honest.

On Day 1 of the season I played against a team 3 leagues above me in the Cup, yet he had every player out of position, including a MR in goal and played an illegal formation. He didn't turn up to the game, I did. Full capacity in my ground etc.. All my players full of moral and between 95-100% full fitness. Got 80% possession, but drew the game 1-1.

Yesterday I decided to put my second string in for the second leg as I was annoyed and didn't bother watching the game. This time my opponent did, moved all his players into correct positions and played a 4-4-2, so no illegal formation. I had a player sent off and two injuries through the game. I won the second leg 4-0.

Says it all really.
