Just For Fun: The Universal Player

Mostly this season I have been thinking on how we could have a little fun and experiments, etc.

Pricop last season came up with the idea of making a squad full of forum members and produce stats at the end of the season.

I've came up with a interesting idea - The Universal Player

What we all do is buy a player early next season, A player thats mostly going to be a key squad player. Maybe we could all buy the Same Position, age and Similar stats in terms of quality and we can compare progress of this player in our squads.

What I can do is try and come up with a player name (first and second name) that is a "Acronym" of our forum usernames or we could pick a letter to use each. If theres a lot of requests I try and pick the players nationality from the "Acronym" as well.

So your default letter would be the 1st letter of your forum username. but you could request any letter of the English alphabet if you want.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea doesn't it? I will open a Poll to decide what "Position" this Universal Player will undertake.

It only costs 1 token to change a player name.

The result of the Universal Player will mean we will effectively, have the same player playing in the same position in each of our teams, meaning we can compare stats.

Yes. Were buying a player each and giving a him a name based on us, then I will put players name, nationality and tell you all what position were buying each.

So we would all effectively have the same player, playing in the same position in each of our clubs.

So it could be we all buy a player thats a MC for example on start of next season and it could look like this:
We havent got a name yet so i will use Joe Bloggs.

Could be a slight telling way to see who can get the most of their universal player next season, We could do another player the season after if its quite popular, In 3 seasons time some of us could still have the 2 players allowcated from the preivous 2 seasons.

Its not a competition or anything, Its just an experiment and a bit of fun.

I get the most from my AMs in terms of goals and assists returns. Must they have the same name, though, and what's the poll for?
