I apologize for venting. Can someone explain the logic behind this though?

I lost the CL Final today 1:3. I understand losses happen and are part of the game. What I don't understand is the way it happened. I scored first to take a 1:0 lead. Then one of his players proceeded to get injured (26th min) and auto-sub wasn't on, next he equalized 1:1. Midway through the second half he took a 1:2 lead. Then around the 80th minute my opponent took a 2nd injury, proceeding to score a 3rd goal a few minutes later.

My team was slightly stronger (51.7 to 47.6 for starting 11) His formation was a 4-3n-1-2, I played 4-1-4-1 motivated, when the second goal was scored, I changed to a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond. I watched the match, my opponent didn't. Both their injured players were MC's. I apologize for the vent, I just don't understand how three goals were scored against my defense by someone reduced to 10 players, then 9.
