How to make a shadow striker work?

I bough an AMR/MR shadow striker this season, he was supposed to be the best player in my team, but he kind of sucks.
The best player in my team has been my striker which I got with the default team from the start. Any ideas where/how to to play him to be good?

He needs to be used in his AMR role to really use shadow striker. Even then the Special ability isn't all that special. Also make sure your tactics work with him involved (down both flanks, etc.)

As an MR, he is ineffective. Switch to an AM tactic and play down the left, so that he'll be free to get the final ball on the right
