League Round 19: Pongpond FC 0-7 July Fourth

    Papaleo (6 PEN,25 PEN,58,78) Watson (24) Kusama (52) Regal (81) MOTM: Papaleo.

Heading into the game 9 points ahead, July Fourth knew a win here would kill off any hopes that Pungpond had of taking the title away from them, Papaleo got into the box early and was fouled and then put away the penalty, Watson then made it 2-0 with a fine shot before Papaleo scored another penalty and the game was over before HT, Papaleo passed to Kusama who made it 4-0 just after the start of the 2nd half and Papaleo completed a hat-trick from a Petersen corner, There was time for Papaleo to score another and a Regal goal from substitute Kumchai's corner.

Champions League Quarter-Final 2nd Leg: PIPPO FC 1-4 July Fourth (Agg: 1-5)

    Hardy (7) Coates (30) Papaleo (36) Kusama (51) Harrison (73) MOTM: Papaleo.

July Fourth were back in good form and this helped us produce a fine performance to see off PIPPO in the Quarter-Finals, Papaleo setup Hardy to give an early vital away goal, Then Coates equalised on the night on the half hour to give PIPPO hope but Papaleo restored the lead for July Fourth shortly afterwards. The tie was over with 2nd half goals from Kusama and Harrison to give July Fourth a confortable win in the end.

Our semi-final opponents are Jon Utd after they put out LaFruta 3-2 on aggregate, While El Capo face OTTOMANS in the other semi-final.

NewchesterUnited maintained its unbeaten League record this week but two draws in a four-match span left the Black-and-White with just a three-point lead entering Matchday 20. NU drew at London is Blue, 1-1, Wednesday. After dispatching Omar FC, 5-1, at home Thursday, NC needed two goals from Jhony Caballero in the final 12 minutes to escape with a 2-1 win at itia7adtanja Friday.

There was no such escape Saturday afternoon. NU drew with Marcos FC, 1-1, in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, inferior fc extended its League unbeaten streak to 18 games. NU blanked host Law FC, 4-0, Saturday night to extend its lead to six points. However, inferior fc has a match in hand. A win at Marcos FC by inferior fc Sunday will narrow the deficit to three points.

NU is off from League play until Monday when third-place Othmane FC visits Los Angeles. The Black-and-White leads Othmane FC by 17 points although Othmane FC has a match in hand and will be heavily favored to beat joint-bottom Hai Tien FC Sunday. Hai Tien FC is one of three teams with only four points after 19 matches. Should NU beat Othmane FC, the League crown will surely be a two-team race.

Sunday will be an important day for NU despite the lack of League matches. NU hosts NEANOAH FC in the afternoon in the first leg of a Cup semifinal. The second leg will be in Greece Tuesday morning. Two Indonesian sides, BARCELONA and kikhi kokho FC, meet in the other semifinal. BARCELONA will host the first leg.

NU visits Indonesia Sunday night to battle CHELSHEA in the first leg of a Champions League semifinal. NU dispatched Balazs FC, 5-1, at home Thursday and prevailed, 2-1, in Hungary Saturday to win the aggregate tie, 7-2. The Black-and-White will host CHELSHEA Wednesday in the second leg. CSSEDANCFA of France will meet Jonathan FC of Brazil in the other semifinal.

The elusive 'Tank and Double' is over. I did not advance in the champions league quarter finals, losing 1-1 on aggregate. which really sucks by the way. But there is still hope for the Cup! and no chance I will win a game in the league.

Cup: Semi-final time in the Cup and it was Squeaky~Bum time for Celtic Rangers as they traveled to Rome to face an Italian team lightly peppered with quality. First half possession was shared but CR took an early lead and remained the only side to get shots on target (3). The second half swung back n forth with the home side gaining momentum. The equaliser came in 78 mins from a curling strike. Ebrahimpour was clear twice in the dying minutes but failed to convert and at the other end only a last ditch tackle in the final move of the match kept it level.

A fine result - well worth the air fare.

We went into this season with the aim to win everything that we participated in. Unfortunately, we were knocked out in the quarter-finals of Cup with a total of 3-2. The rest looks good. We are in the semi-finals of the Champions League and are the strongest team on paper. We are leading the league by 15 points with six rounds left, so it is more or less already decided. It is with great pleasure that I can announce that we have secured our second league title in two attempts Now we are really in to take home the double. I also got rid of some players, to make slots available until the next season. We have rich owners, but money is no guarantee. The players we have at our disposal in the current situation is very competent. What I am looking for the next season are players who can increase in width in the team. Maybe 1 or 2 star players. Today's league match ended with another win. This is against the club who made sure we did not get a perfect league season. We are 19-0-1 and it was precisely this opponent who won against us with 4-1 earlier in the season. Now we got our revenge !

League: Buffs FC welcome their Italian visitors but show little hospitality with a 3-0 win. In reality the only thing that separated the sides were the goals. Strange ratings again from the observers, Goram (keeper) gets rated 8 and wins MoM without making a save and the opposition defender rates a 9 but gets nothing more than his bus fare home. O.o

    New Personal Record

It took me 51 rounds = 51 Tokens to be able to sign my "back-up" MR #14 Theo Walcott.
You gotta love bidding wars I still haven't lost any. But people doesn't seem to get that. Congratz to the fellow who waisted away 50T. Anyways... Now I only have 32T left I changed my plan about waiting for the next season and then buy players. I want a bigger challenge for the upcomming 3rd season. So instead of buying 34 rated players, i buy 29 rated players now. And I'm almost all set for next season. I do need one more DC before i feel satisfied. I also changed names on some players as you might see.

So - Here is the team that will do it @ season 3 (plus one more DC)

Looking good. I think a DC/DMC would fit in nicely.

Edit: oops thought I was posting on your showcase.

Thats what i am looking for A DC who also can play DMC. Or i simply buy 2 players so all 22 spots are taken - 1 DC and 1 DMC. But most of all i just want a DC who can also play DMC. And save 1 spot for academy.
