Only use one formation to start every match!.

    Hi all.

Every day we see this question( which formation should I use) or a variable of this question thread put on T11 FORUM when there is a really simple answer!, play your best formation always at the start and then change things during live matches if and when needed.!

So many managers out there complain they lose or are not winning now when they where before or they just cant seem to win or stop drawing!, alot of this is down to them constantly changing the formation of there team to try and beat an wiered
or different formation of an opponnent and what they fail to realise is, by changing there formation they amy not have the best set of players available or suited to the new formation and so it does not work! or they maybe just against a really good team and lose and so change there formation AGAIN to try something else!!!, THIS IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO!, I am on L10 now and I dont know everything about this game I am learning new things every season, but I do have a very good understanding of how to play things!, I have been studing the game very closely over the last few seasons and got what I consider a fair amount of experience, anywar enough of the garbage and back to buissness. To truely learn the benefits of your team you need to stick with it, and play it every game in the same formation!, during the match itself then change things little by little, it might be orders or a player and position, or both!!!, over time and games played you will learn how your team performs against different circumstances and your team will get better and you will then know what to do against what formation and tactics etc.
You must be aware that every game has so many different factors that not every tactic against playing the same formation will work everytime so you will have to be ready to tr something else! but at least you have a base line of where to start!, if you continue to change your starting formation every or nearly every game you will be asking the same question over and over agian and will NEVER know what to do!, REMEBER you must keep upgrading you team players as you go up the levels as it will become harder each level you go up. ( HOPE THIS HELPS SOME OF YOU OUT THERE).

    Double winners x 5 , Treble x 1 ...Perfect league wins 26/26 x 1 (L8).
Every comment I make on this forum is based on my own experiences and so should be taken as such!.

    Couldn't agree more...

Select one formation and then persist with it through out the season...

Definetly and well said.. But it must be said also, sometimes u won't win unless u counter, but in rare cases and important matches only
2 CL ago, finals, the guy was stronger by 5 stars I think, he had an awesome amc that my formation wasn't covering. I went hard def hard tackling counter on long passes down the middle, 5-2mc-1amc-2, it worked perfect i dominated and won!! Certain i would ve lost usin my normal kind of attacking formation..
FIX THE TRANSFER MARKET AND COME OUT OF UR HIDING!!!!
    league: won 4, 2nd 3 times
    CL: won 4, finalist 2
    Cup won 3, finalist 1
Season 9 now, boycotted season 6 bc of the transfer market..

Agreed if there is a good AMC he needs to be countered with a DMC......These AMC's if left alone can shoot form ranges and can easily score 1,2 goals...

    I agree with that.

I will try to beat you with 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond Formation

I always set out at the start of the season to have my top eleven players in the traditional 4-4-2 formation. I focus on getting 11 really good players to fill those positions, with many of the players able to play at least two positions to give more fluid options.

I also always have a AMC in the squad so I can change the 4-4-2 to a 4-4-1-1 if needed.

I don't worry about what formation my opponent uses. I focus on my team and my team alone. A lot is made of changing from the traditional 4-4-2, but it offers fantastic balance and allows the user to change to a more offensive or defensive formation pretty quickly if the need arises. One sub changes a 4-4-2 to a 4-4-1-1, a 4-3-3, a 5-3-2, a 5-4-1, a 3-5-2, or with a AMC in you could go to a diamond etc...

The problem when you start going for more "advanced" formations is then you often have to get specialist position players in, or you are holding out that key positions don't see injuries or suspensions. Play too attacking and you get punished on the break. Play too defensive and you get no service to the front players. Changing your formation based on the opposition is daft because you are basically conceding to the opposition before a ball is kicked that your team is inferior.

If you have faith in the players in your team then you should stick to your formations and force the opposition to make the rash changes if they are needed.

I only ever play 2 formations, 4-4-2 narrow diamond or 4-5-1 V style, both have worked well for me and fit my squad perfect.
    Season 12 - Position 1
