Friendly Arranged & Played Whilst I was Offline Today!?!

Q: Why, when a friendly invite is sent by a manager, is it the responsibility of the recipient of the invite to cancel the game if they don't wish to play it?

I arrived home this evening, expecting to find my players all well rested... only to find that they were fatigued after playing a friendly I had no knowledge of??? Then, in my news area this afternoon, I find a notification that I had received the invite at 15:31 and the friendly was played 4 minutes later at 15:35...

My gripe is on several counts!

* I was not on line to consent to the friendly!
* Why are friendlies automatically played without the consent of the recipient?
* I used tokens for rests after our league match at 13:11 today, so my players were fine for our next match!!!
* Expecting to see my players at 99% for a CL Final at 16:33, I get in to find they are all fatigued again!!!

If I am honest, I expected to lose the CL final, because our opponents had a quality field, so the 1-0 wasn't totally unexpected. However, this begs the question... what would have happened if my players were well rested as they should have been!?!

This is my first gripe against TopEleven, which has otherwise provided hours of fun for me. Now though, it is nothing more than a huge disappointment. Whilst my team is not the best out there and we were the underdogs tonight. I feel cheated by the manner in which the friendly was arranged only an hour before the big game and I had no say in the matter!!!

I have logged in every day since I started playing back in October, often returning to play several times a day. I have spent money boosting the team, especially today, to give us every chance of a big prize... only to find that I have been disadvantaged due to the way the game is set up. Well, not any more!

If this is the outcome of a season's hard work, then you might as well count me out, because the last 28 days have been completely spoilt by this one action... it seems to me that this is a loophole being exploited by clever managers at the expense of those who may not be at the top of their game, but enjoy playing for the challenge, none the less.

welcome to the club, I have lost a league by a scamer who tired my team 30 mins before league match at the very last day of season... choose who you add carefully from now on!

Whilst I thank you for the quick reply and explanation "July Fourth", unfortunately it doesn't alter the fact that the game has cost & will continue to cost regular players like myself the enjoyment & challenge of being competitive. I had already un-friended the manager who spoilt my chance, but for me... it runs far deeper than losing out on the opportunity I should have had.

I realise now, that this incident was probably engineered & I am quite frankly horrified that (only yesterday) I paid money for a small amount of tokens in the belief that it would give me a fighting chance of challenging my superior opponent, only to get shafted before the game gets played! If I had known then, what I know now... I wouldn't have bothered & since this is a known fault based on your November 2012 post, clearly the matter isn't being resolved any time soon.

I am not a forumer, & I was not aware of this in the FAQs. I don't even recall reading it in October, when reading the game play instructions. If the FAQs were updated afterwards, I stood little chance of avoiding such an incident. However, the bottom line is that I am now a whole lot wiser and will be keeping my money firmly in my pocket until the game restores my confidence in it.

This is not a dig at you personally... you've been very helpful in opening my eyes, but since I am unlikely to get back what I have lost either financially or in tokens, I feel justified in letting off a little steam! Maybe if Nordeus the developers did something about this, my views might be changed, but until that time, this game has gone right down in my estimations. That is indeed a great shame... because it is the best on-line football game I have encountered and because it is so good, it should be resolving issues like these with each upgrade, not just stick it in the FAQs in the hope that it reaches all it's players... that's just ridiculous. Sorry!

perhap`s those that run it could change friendlies to a 24 hr notice, that way when person want`s a friendly the person they ask has 24hrs notice to cancel or play

This is been a problem in Top Eleven for over a year since I started playing last year and I'm pretty sure its been like this since Top Eleven started or since when they introduced into the game, It's something they need to sort out and the Dev's recently took a blind eye towards this instead of giving us new stadium graphics that don't make any difference to the game when the old graphics were doing just the job.
