Need help on possession

Hi everyone,

Please find below the details of my team:

Average quality: 88.8
Average age: 23.7
Formation: 4-3-3 (3 central midfielders)
Have 4 scouts in the team (all 3 strikers are scouts)
All the other players in the XI are 5 star players. A couple should become scouts any day.
Team mentality: Normal
Focus passing: Through the middle
Pressing style: Whole pitch
Tackling style: Hard
Passing style: Short passing
Marking style: Zonal marking
No counter-attacks
Using offside trap

The problem is that even with such a strong and young team, I am in the 13th place in the league. What's more, my possession in any match is not going beyond 39%. Don't know why. Obviously, my strikers are not getting too many shots on goal.

Made some changes today to my team mentality, focus passing, pressing style, passing style, counter-attacks. Have been able to beat the 5th placed team in today's match. The possession was still at 38%. It was a home match. I wasn't present.

Please help me with how I can improve my possession and my performance.

I am in Stage 15. In terms of average quality, 3 teams are better than me.

You are making a blunder mistake...

Playing 4-3-3 and using short passing ???
Go for long or mixed passing...
I will suggest mixed...

Mate, I was using mixed passing till the last match. Was not helping my case at all :P.

With 4-3-3 you can even use down bothflanks, I prefer mixed focus passing, and mixed passing style, closed down own half when playing that formation, when you play whole pitch closing down your team will become tired quicker.

Skidz, till yesterday, I had mixed focus passing, mixed passing style and was pressing only my own half.
