My preparations for the season ahead regarding player transfers has now been finalised.
In a bold move, it has been decided that all 16 players who were entering their 4th consecutive season with FC Halifax Town, all of whom of which were in the last year of their contracts, were to be given new deals.
116M was spent agreeing to these new deals. With operating profit coming from the first home cup game of the season (a surprising 3-0 win against a higher ranked team), FC Halifax Town are still showing a healthy profit of 15.3M on the season to date, mainly due to the prize money that came in from league 16.
On a more positive note, in securing the services of the long lasting 16 players and keeping the other 4 players in the 20 team roster that I like to use, my token outlay for the season stands at 0. This pleases the management of FC Halifax Town as it quite rightly refuses to buy any Tokens using real money and the current manager has shown a bit of apathy of late to doing much farming. The management and board of FC Halifax Town are delighted that previous history of extensive farming and saving of Tokens has left the club in a strong long term position. This is felt to be more prevalent now that farming within the UK market seems to have been tightened up. Where as before it was possible to farm 100+ tokens a day now the farm often struggles to yield a return of 20, so added with the managers current apathy of farming the club often goes days without even bothering any more to try to add to its extensive Token stock pile.
