Hey im currently new to T11 and I wanted to know your mistakes you made when you were new so all new players can know such as me. Thanks :)
Paying Tokens to rush buildings... don't do it (unless you have no limits on buying T),
but build as often as you can. (especially turf and medical)
Don't train your players too much, use the individual training to even conditioning, I try to not let them get below 70%
And in the early levels, don't go crazy with Scouts or power training because your Cup draw will be a nightmare. :D
1. Ignoring buildings
2. Building car parks/toilets before medical & training facilities.
3. Thinking this is Football Manager
4. Using one token and not bidding after expiry thinking the leading bid would win.
5. Bidding more than once in a knockout round thinking it is necessary to bid multiple times in a knockout round.
6. Training old players
7. Try to collect young players and ignoring golden oldies.
not understanding the gift system to make sure I had enough friends who could give me each of the four items everyday (and making sure I was sending out each of the 4 types so that I received each of them)
Not recognizing who the fast trainer was on my season one squad. And when he was injured for 5 days, I should have healed him so he could continue earning skill points and training so that he could be on my squad for the maximum number of seasons.
My mistake was i didn't do anything at all and i set my formation with real life formation like the trendy 4-2-3-1 (used by most of famous football clubs). I didn't understand the training system, auction, and i also wasted my money by building seats.
Rushing picking my team, wasting tokens on bidding for players, not watching videos, not making T11 friends so IF got gifts, not finding July the Fourths guide till after about 3 weeks of playing!, it was only on for a week or so then it got removed.
Not realising both platforms (fb & t11site) could be used for different 'free from video' options - fb for kits and t11 for tokens.
Rushing with skill point allocation = all attack or all defence of all in one place dependent on wind direction.
Not knowing when to heal, rest or sell.
Didn't fully think through the meaning of Leader when bidding.
Not posting enough meaningless crap on the forum - but fixing that.
The 1 thing I did correctly and always will was to remember its a game, its entertainment, its not an investment, it won't change your life and that behind a troll team there just might be a manager that thinks "wow great result against higher level/Q, I'm perfect manager." :D
First mistake I made was rushing all my buildings. I found a way to farm tokens almost straight away and by the time I had got to level 6 I had maximised all my buildings. A total waste of tokens.
Second mistake was trying to have 22 really good players. Simply not needed. Now I go for a really good first eleven, with two or three really good subs.
Third mistake was keeping two really good keepers. I now go for one great keeper, and my reserve is a poor one that doesn't get played unless in an emergency.
Thanks for the info! Any more? Greatly aprrieciated :)
bid for 2-3 players with more than an hour to go or so,I thought with my one bid those players will be mine and left the game only to come back and realize I didn't sign anyone :P
My biggest mistake was spending actual money on the game the first few seasons, a pointless exercise. Just play it on your terms, don't try and even come close to competing with token buyers as you progress.
My mistakes when new included
a. Not giving arrows to my players or giving them the wrong ones
b. Not using whole pitch pressing when attacking w/ superior team.
c. Focus passing down the right flank through a low 3 star player, instead of through my 4/5 star midfielders during the CL round of 16 of season 2.
d. Changing tactics during a live match to an illegal formation (DL got injured and I replaced him with a DC I think, leaving me w/o anyone on the left.
I am ashamed of having spent a grand total of 20€.
Not worth 20 cents, let alone 20€...
It was probably a mistake to try to add the one-on-one scorer on one of my strikers. Most likely I would have been better served using those fifty cones to improve him all around instead of in just that one area. (If anything else, he would have sold for more when I finally sold him.)
Oh you are new :)
Dont search for hack's , for this game doesn't have hack's i waste a lot of time for that :D
And someone can steal you'r Facebook password so dont try to download hack's and you can get viruses in you'r computer :P
Second dont buy player's with 27-33 years , just buy young players if u want good score and team :)
Third.
Dont play a lot friendly matches that's all :3
Bye, Good Luck.
Sorry if my English are bad ..
Good to now, very interesting mistakes people made.
The biggest and only mistake you can do as a newbie is NOT JOINING the forum...
If you will join the forum then automatically you will not commit any of the mistakes mentioned in the above posts...:)...
Expecting Admins and Nordeus to reply too our question`s on ANY forum
Bidding multiple times in a round, wasting money on extending contracts every season, rushing buildings with tokens, buying emblems and jerseys...
Things to avoid:
- Using an illegal formation (not that you'll lose, but it will be harder to be consistent)
- Wasting training points
- Don't train a player for a specialty unless he training around a 3x pace (percent compared to training type)
- Never train a player for a new position. Rather just avoid playing more than 3 players out of position
- Never train a player while transfer listed, you won't be able to apply the points
- Buying anything with money or wasting too many tokens
That's about it really. Just use some common sense and you'll be ok :)
Yes, I'd been playing awhile before I found the Forum! (wouldn't have made the building rush mistake for sure)
I have also made the mistake of replacing half my starters with kids... don't go nuts with ANY changes, make only one or two changes at a time so you can evaluate what happens.
Another mistake I made was trying to teach a slower older guy a new role.. what a waste!
Yeah do not waste your time training new roles or SAs. If you really need another position covered or want a SA, just buy a player with the desired attributes
I would if I could find these on the TL: Attachment 24384 Attachment 24385
(p.s. let me just say if you want a player that's easy to sell, DMC/MC's on all my teams get offers, even the old guys.)
Teaching young fast training players a new role isn't completely a bad idea, it does require a fairly large budget of greens and patience. :)
SA's can be a waste, but again, if it's a fast trainer, and the SA complements his attributes, it can work out well.
I train Special Abilities but not New Roles...:)...
When I were new, I renamed all players with ALL tokens I had, even the 3* ones. Also quitting the game after promotion. That was long ago and that was my 2nd attempt at T11...
I'm season 8. I just figured out that Training Intensity has nothing to do with which drills they participate in, but just how hard they will participate in ALL drills. I also didn't realize you edit that intensity player by player (even on my phone!). I now know what it means to power train/focus train.
For sure you can prevent (some) stupid injuries by just training rested guys using individual levels, and even out conditioning as well. Though only lately have I been using friendlies to finish evening out condition by well timed subbing. :D
I started the season with 5 matches to go. Too late to do anything.
My most embarrassing mistake was setting up a referral team then realising 4 days later that I forgot to refer them. O.o I washed out that blonde 'do and created another properly. That's why I have 3 teams now.
Wow.. I have learned so much just from this thread. This is really making me a better T11 manager. Hopefully newcomers to the game can see this thread to not make stupid mistakes. Thanks guys for posting your mistakes!
Drinking a lot...then drinking a lot.
Buy tokens in 2nd season. Then found out actually don't need to if you know how to play the game.
Keeping bidding against players that have strong teams. Those guys just have unlimited amounts of tokens for some reason.
PLay players out of position.
Not check the schedules properly.
I feel No one made a mistakes like me when I was new on top eleven, that's y I'm facing some difficult conditions currently , if I joined forum when I was new to T11 I could have better team now!!
My mistakes
I started my token contract on 3rd week almost I lost 15 tokens,
I didn't build anything in level 1,
I dont know how to train my payers that time, my players missed lot of training session even they are fully fit,
I thought we can use greens only for gain player condition,
I sale my some young fast trainers to free agent( its the most foolish mistake ever done by me),
In 2nd season I spend my all tokens to buy average players( I bought only 2-3 good players with nearly 50 tokens, when my tokens are near to finish I bought old age players)
There are still many foolishness I did at the start can't remember all of mistakes!
But still I wonder at level 1 my team played impressive season 4th in league(at the half of season I was on 10th) and runner up in cup without knowing anything about formation and tactics
To use the tokens to speed up construction was the biggest mistake I'd made
Buying players who are 33 years old, using one single formation every game, being 7th in the league and being happy about it, training the old players, using 3-2-3-2 and hard attacking.
Then I didnt know really how to play the game, now I have a new club because the old one where I made those mistakes was ****.
gave all players special skills....in day one of season 1.... "all" player in the team =.=~
Started at the middle of the season (at 10th place) and had a tokenbuyer on 1st place.
Bought a Scoutplayer on 23rd of the season for 39 tokens (all I had at this time). He was 27, Striker, 107%. He played 14 games, scored not a single goal...
