Preparing for next year

Hi, My team's above the average on my league. I am placed 1st and the championship is now guaranteed I lost the CL SEMI FINALS HOWEVER
I bought only fast trainers U21 and they all blew up to 5-6* in no time, although their ratings are not always that good.
Anyway, my question is regarding next season, will I be posted in a league of average ratings? I am afraid to be left in a token buyers league where I will be fighting for survival
Should I loose the upcoming 3 games on purpose? Should I buy 3* players, to lower my average?
According to what parameters do Nordgen decide the league members?

Please only do one thread about this - otherwise it gets confusing and hard to see what other people have said. If this gets replies then maybe a mod could merge the two. Well done though
