Ranking special abilites

Hello everyone!
It is now a new season, a new challenge. I just won the league title by beating my friend in the last round. He was 2 points ahead and led 0-1, but I won (all hail Corner Kick Specialist!!!).
For most of the time I played, I had a relatively high quality squad, but a very small number of them had special abilities. Now I have decided to go in hunt for those kinds of players more. What I want to know is how valuable all these SA really are?
PK stopper? 1-on-1 stopper? Aerial defender? Defensive wall? Dribbler? Playmaker? FK taker? PK taker? 1-on-1 scorer? Shadow striker? Which SAs are a superb addition and are there any useless which I should totally ignore?

Definitely go for aerial defender and shadow striker. Free kick taker and defensive wall could be quite useful as well.

Corner kick specialist is one of the best imo ;-)

aerial defender and defensive wall are actually noticeably useful, shadow striker can be useful but it also means one player keeps taking long shots

Its difficult to say. There are ones that are easier to get a feel for because they are part of events that happen more often. Like corners & free kicks and their defensive equivalents (aerial defender and defensive wall being 2) - that might in itself be enough reason to get them.

I get a lot of goals from corners and free-kicks and those taking them have the SAs but they are also my best players. But a lot of goals come from dead balls anyway.

So I want Aerial Defender and Wall. If I got a winger or 2 with Shadow Striker I'd be pleased too.

SAs confuse me but I'd rather have them than not.

My TOP 4 Specialist to have

1- Aerial Defender
2- Corner Specialist
3- Defensive Wall
4- Free-Kick Specialist

I play Narrow Diamond/attacking/counter most days, this list should vary somewhat for each different team according to formation and tactic, I would love to put "Shadow Striker" too but AMCs are not everyones cup of tea. And my experience using "Dribblers" and "Playmakers" has been nightmarish as they tend for me to just be Yellow card MAGNETS!
