what are the arrows in squad view

Hi guys
am new to this game so forgive me if a ask a stupid question, when in squad view with the pitch and team set up to the right, when you click a player it gives you options of up arrows and down arrows or none, what are these arrows for?

It's very simple, the red arrow (up arrow) means that the player it's more offensive and he will go in attack (he will leave his position), the blue one (down arrow) means that the player it's more defensive. Or something like that

The red arrows means the player will act like the player ahead of him when attacking. DR with red arrow will play more like DMR when attacking, but still DR when defending. MC with blue arrow will play like DMC when defending, but still MC when attacking.
