I found my freekick taker always cross the ball high but not shoot it, can I know why?

I had a DMC FK specialist that mostly crossed and now an MC that mostly shoots. But there could be lots of factors....like what side he prefers, mentality, motivation, time of the month.. We can't even reliably tell what side the FK's being taken are or how far out, angle to goal etc.

So I have no answer.

May be he is a duck and the SA on him is nothing worth. Look what he do in the next matches. Still the same. Then try to sell and buy another.

If you get a FREE KICK near to the GOAL POST the player SHOOTS and if it is far from GOAL POST the crosses...

A player has nothing to do with Shooting or Crossing it just depends on the distance......

Actually we do assign which player takes which Free Kick from which side. So we do know which side the free kick is coming from. When it is far, they mostly cross, if near shoot, the commentary will say "DANGEROUS", for good opportunity shots, I have yet to see a 'Dangerous position free kick', be a cross, but it's always possible.

Yep, we can know if we have different players taking them from different sides. The game doesn't reliably tell us which side. It seems to like telling us its from the right but I can't assume that all kicks from the right say it and therefore all others are left or ....etc But tbh I don't see a cross as a bad thing - because I do make the assumption that a FK specialist has a better chance of crossing or shooting better.

But yes, ^ good advice.

EDIT: later I noticed in a match that there was a commentary piece regarding FK 'on the left'. So I probably just missed this before unless there has been a recent update.
