Well it depends on the player you are buying......By looking for right time and opportunity you can easily get a good player with 1, 2, 3 Tokens...
On day 15 or 16 of this new season a Super Fast Nordeus Gen Striker in the 9's went unsold...Wished I had the money to recruit him...
And he was the only Nordeus Gen Fast Trainer that I have seen this season...
On my server, even THIS late in the season even in the morning there are ALWAYS 1-3 managers who bid within 20minutes to 20 seconds + around 3 more who bid in last second.Well it depends on the player you are buying...

Yesterday I, too, saw a super fast I think academy 18 y.o. with MV of 5.8M (when any other highest MV players hardly reach 3M) who went unsold for just above 5M (which I didn't have). Immediately after that I saw him appear with new auction, this time for about 4.2M (which I had!) but then there were also other bidders...

With low tokens, dont go for players with 18 or 19 years old.
Dont go for player that are near the next star.
If the is already someone that bid on that player, forget and move on, because that mean you need at least 2 tokens to get that player.
Wait until the last 30 seconds to see If someone else bids, then bid in the last 20 seconds and not in the last ones, because that way people that were waiting for the last seconds to bid, might give up.
If a bid war starts check your opponents If they seem token buyer, forget the token, If they are similar to you, try to bid until ROUND 2 or 3, If no one give up, it is probably time for you to give up and minimize your lost.
