Yes, I agree... if you have (more than) sufficient for that role it would be a waste! The 24T ones I always consider, and the others only if it is an upgrade from the current guy in that role.

Expressed above is my own opinion. Your results may vary.

The only difference between the 18 and 24 token academy players is the starting rating. They would both be fast trainers but, for example, the 24T would be a 4* 73 rating whereas the 18T would be a 4* 71 rating. A 15T would be 3* 68 say.
It's worth saving the 6 tokens for the little time it takes to train up the difference.

I only signed this 3* dual role Academy player because I wanted to test things out - sometimes I find it more entertaining to play around with things as well as it being a distraction from the D I is bad WWWWWW I is Pro L I got trolled treadmill

btw even with the big variations in skill point gain on MP I'm still seeing roughly 7-8% tp gain per 1% condition for the faster trainer and 6-7 for the other, across the board.

On the variations between each type of training the spreads for each are not that different between cardio and match it just seems to feel more consistent for cardio. Initial results are showing low to high values for my academy player of

Stretching 41-58 Cardio 73-119 and Match 108-165 and
mean values are 48.7, 96 and 138.5 respectively.

The ranges do seem to be a bit wider than before but whether the averages are similar or different to the past I don't know.
