PS. Everyone always talks about the server reset 'on the hour'. I always thought mine happened near/on the 'half-hour' - I should check that too before I say it out loud.
Yeah I've just remarked that mine is about 3.25 AM (GMT +1)

Yeah, thats prompted my memory....think there is around 5 mins where we get mail and Cup draws, Building pop-ups etc.
I think this might depend on the server and that time changes when the system goes through the servers (from 1 up to 200 and beyond) Like you know when there's the new season restart you can log in for almost half an hour. For me that time is 5-5:30 a.m. and I'm on server 143. Maybe for the 1st hundred of servers the time is from 4:30-5 a.m. so the daily restard would happen around 4:30 for them.
That's a theory. Maybe I'm just making this all up
