How long is a game?

Has anyone put a stop watch on a game? How long is it, are there longer ones or shorter ones? I have always wondered about that?

A game which you play for only a few short minutes and tweek for hours!

The short ones (usually palyed when there are no trainers present) last about 3-4 minutes.
My longest one (regular game, no extra minutes) lasted a bit more than 9 minutes (my dog was asking for a walk and I checked how long the game lasted).

I think it may depend on your internet speed too, !!! but no havnt had the inclination to time a game lol

I'd rule out the internet connection, I always comment on the game with friends via instant messenger/facebook chat and their timing is the same as mine.

You may be right Anna but all I know is when at home on my mac with super fast broadband ( turbo) there is no lagging and seems to be quick, when roaming around the USA as I do with my I phone seems a lot longer to play with more lagging ???

When I have an idea how to check the variable of the game duration, I'll make a test and go public
But I'm sure the lengths vary depending on the amount of action in the games.

8 mins 30 seconds (4 mins each half and 30 second break at half time)

Red Baron is right, I watched 10 matches today and they were all about 8-10 minutes.
But I remember that the games unattended by trainers tended to be shorter, maybe I lost track of time then
