After the disappointment of yesterday's league loss to the Spend-a-ton-of-tokens-on-personal-trainer-team Rugby's Better bounced back to post a superb 6-1 win in the Cup last night, which should be enough to secure participation in round 3.

That success, and the need to post a win in the CL tonight after an opening round home draw at home meant the reserves got their chance to shine in the league today, playing 4-5-1V against 4-3N-1-2. That decision looked vindicated when the team went ahead 2-0, even though the opposition pulled a goal back just before half time. However the manager allowed himelf to be distracted by his day job for most of the 2nd half, and paid when the opposing manager changed his formation initially to 4-2-1-3, and then a heavy attacking 4-1-2AMC-3, and managed to make the most of his limited possession and ease out to a 4-2 win.

Hopefully the A squad will make the most of the manager's absence (he's AWOL playing softball tonight) and chalk up a win in the CL to spare his blushes.
