    Exclamation training fresh recruits. Question

    Hi,

If a player has never played in a game before (0-0-0-0) will he still train or will you have to play him first?

Let me explain. I just bought this 18yr old who has never played in a game. he is 2 points away from getting another star and I want to train him, but it is not really getting me much. Is it because he hasn't played a game yet?

No the training speed has nothing to do with no games played yet......

You have bought a SLOW trainer...If you want to train your players then buy fast trainers......

Higher the value higher the training speed......

Yes, it's possible. Your player will not gain experience as fast as he should.
Most probably he is a free youth player that somebody just sold.
But don't give up on him yet, I have a slow trainer in my team who always performs very well, second best player actually, and I don't mind that his level is 6 below my team average, he is simply that good (best ever on assisting and second place on scoring - he's an MC).
Check his performance during a couple of days and then make a decision.

There are 18 y.o.'s that are ducks, and ones that are fast trainers.. and all sorts between. The problems is, the really slow ones are the freebie Youths from levels above you, so their price tag is very high and can fool you into thinking he's fast.

Its cool he is an AMC. He just got one cone and all I need is another to get him the first orange star (I am at level 3). I'll play him tonight and see how he does. I have a weak team scheduled for tonight. We will see. Thank you all.

He might be an excellent player for a few seasons, I have kept some slow trainers around if their performance justified it.

He got his star! I play him in an hour. Let's see what he does. He is a DMC not an AMC. Now I only have 2 more players with 5 stars. Need to get them going!

Is there a better formation that I can be using with these players?
