It might not actually change anything. It could just be a new graphical representation of what has always been the case.

Exactly that is what I said and believe till any one answers the question I have asked on the announcement thread...

We all knew if we play a MC as AMC or DMC there will a little penalty but the penalty will increase if we play them as Strikers or Defenders...

The interesting one for me was MC's not being able to cover wing and vice versa - previously the assumption was that you could get away with that. And previously we didn't know you could swap someone from 1 wing to the other without much penalty. So either that's a change, or a much-needed clarification. The wing swap seems odd, but at least it matches up with the way wing autosubs work.
