    Thanks guys..

Most of my team are under 20 so I presume they will at least retain some of their value. Also i presume saving skill points is simply where you don't apply them for a few weeks ? Is there any benefits to do this for player progression or is it just good for player renewals so you can renew them at a Lower level and resign them cheap?!

Also, is there any benefit to selling players with saved skill points or is there no advantage?

I apply my skill points from last season on day 1 and won't apply skill points again until the start of day 1 the next season. Some advantages:

    better cup draw

    easier to identify fast/slow trainers

cheaper to renew contracts at the start of the new season

can learn new role or skill instantly

easier to identify players I want to (or don't want to) power train at the end of the season

Every player's value goes down as they get older. If you apply skill points everyday, their value will go up slightly each day. When the new season begins, the value drops. Then it goes up again. But if it is a young player (a lot of skill points), the value dropped is less than the value the player increased over the course of the season.

Forgot to answer the last question.

Yes there is. But, when you sell a player with saved skill points, the buyer does not get them and the starting bid for the auction will be lower.

    But,

The advantage is with stars. If I have a 4 star player who is about to turn into a 5 star player, I will NOT add all of his skill points if he will be a very low 5 star player.

Players are more likely to get in a bidding war for a 79 4 star player (on my level) because they see him as a 5 star player on their level who is just about to be a scout. If I add all the skill points, he becomes an 80 5 star player on my level and will be bid on by other players on my level who are also 5 stars. The bidders would rather bid for an 84 5 star player.

And if you are on level 4 or higher and you want to get ride of the player, but it doesn't have to be now, add those skill points to get him within one skill point of the next star. Then he goes on the negotiations list and you might get an offer for him that includes a few tokens.
