It would be nice for the people who try to get promoted every season. But this would create a situation where a team could tank and win the CL at the same level season after season. They should maybe say if you finished outside the top 4, but you still were promoted (finished in spots 5-7) that you get to play the CL again for next season as a defending champion.

I like this idea but i would if they 5th then they should be able too defend

this was a UEFA rule years ago and Real Madrid won the CL and been 5th played the CL in the place of Zaragoza FC....
I really think that who's 4th don't will like it LOL
Too I think that a team that win a CL have to be capable to be 4th ... so... don't see this idea very clear

I think in this situation whoever finishes 4th gets in also. We have to realize that in top eleven it is not "THE" defending champion, it is "A" defending champion. There are a lot of people who qualify for CL every season

I think zaragoza will be very unhappy. It should be all 4th place should go in, mb the lousiest two fourth places battle it among themselves should a defending champion takes one of their spot
