You add up their defence, attack and physical & mental skills and divide by 3.

So in your case it's 35.4, let's call this A for average

15 for every quality so you do 15 multiplied the difference to next quality level (36-35.4=0.6). So 15*0.6 = 9 skill points to next quality level

For the next star, you do 15 multiplied the difference to the next star (40-35.4=4.6). So 15*4.6 = 69 skill points to the next star.

Formula: 15*(T-A)

Where T is your target quality and A is the average of the 3 skills
