Answering in english: you probably got eliminated because of the away goal rule. He probably had more goals in the away game.
Answering in portuguese: você provavelmente foi eliminado por causa da regra do gol fora de casa. Ele deve ter feito mais gols fora.

but in my case I won off by a difference of two goals and lost at home for the same difference .. would not be a situation penalts. I do not understand the rule used .. because the criteria for goals is the same
