    FK Partizan - Day 14 - League

Stressing game vs. 14th place team in the league... We managed to break through their defense in last 15 minutes switching to 4-5-1 T formation, focusing attacks through the middle, giving chance to wingers to cut inside... All 3 subs got rating 8...

    Season 58-1.jpg
    Season 58-2.jpg

They injured our striker Semedo (new striker from youth academy who scored 9 goals in 10 games and have average rating 7.90). This is 7th injury so far in this season...

Haven't posted since yesterday, so here it is:

Once again despite the insane amount of shots, I get only get two goals, story of my life. Plus Pantin gets injured AGAIN, geez!

    Season 58-screenshot020.jpg

That was quite a surprise. He gets the first goal despite a very small amount of shots. Thank god I still win the match but once again, missed opportunities, it's ridiculous!!

    Season 58-screenshot027.jpg

So this was today and I got REALLY lucky. I slept in and I woke up to this. So lucky to get the win but I'm pissed because I had a clean sheet, 0 goals taken in this league. Oh well... Cantareil beasting again when I'm not watching, what a guy!!

    Season 58-screenshot018.jpg

And hurray!! We're through to the 1/4. Once again a very nice game. When I logged in it was already 2-1 for me. Devrimol loves those distant shots, they always go in, incredible!! Once again Cantareil delivering those great corners!!

    Season 58-screenshot019.jpg

Tomorrow!! This guy first, I will have to get up and watch the match, don't want any bad surprises.

    Season 58-screenshot028.jpg

And first round of the Knock-Out stage in CL, level is low, I should manage alright...

    Season 58-screenshot029.jpg

Also, BIG dissapointment. This guy I could've swore was a Nordgen... is doing so poorly, never had a player in my squad with such bad marks. Might have to sell him if he doesn't deliver soon!

League: Buffs FC today were hopeful of turning things around after a shock league defeat and an even more unexpected CL defeat.

Atletico Paris were todays visitors and pursued a ND strategy. After having to get the medics working overtime on the MCs the Buffs stepped out in 4-1-3N-2.

In the first half the Buffs dominated play but were luckless, or should that be feckless, in front of goal. At HT, just after a customary yellow card for the Buffs, Buffs Mad rung the changes to 4-5-1V. Another booking and a dangerous FK that Harvey was forced to save on 64 mins seemed to spark the Buffs to life. Gough and Henderson were combining well on the right flank with McNeill and Baxter enjoying similar success on the left. On 74 mins the breakthrough came when Gough fed Henderson and his cross was met by Baxter at the back post to score. Striker Law was out of sorts with 2 missed FKs in the last 10 mins to add to one in the first half.

While admittedly the Buffs gave away more chances in the second half they also possessed more of a cutting edge.

Final Score: Buffs 1-0 Atletico Paris

    Goals: Baxter (74)

    Bookings: Murdoch (45), Gemmell (54) - that's 8 bookings in the last 3 matches.

Highlights: star of the day was the can of beer that was drunk after, irl, the "Buffs" ran out 6-0 winners to follow their 12-0 win last week.

Buffs FC are therefore restored to the top by 1pt and travel to meet 2nd placed side in the next match.

despite struggling against weaker teams apart from today where i won 5-0 away i`m now second halfway through season and i`v not been outside top 4 all season so far, imagine i,d be closer to the leaders who are 11pts clear if it was not for these daft results in the 1st half of half season let`s hope they improve in the second half

    FK Partizan - Day 15 - League

Totally unrealistic final score 4-0... Before the game AI subed two of his player 'cause of cards suspensions, they both were playing off position, both scored a goal and both got rating 8. In 8 seasons my MCs struggle to get rating 7, but his ST at MC position gets 8 just like that... He is even Man of the Match... I had one shot more than him, but not single goal, and he had 50% scoring rate, 4 of 8...

Cl over this season, played 30 min with a man more, but he scored with 10,my attacking player decided better to stay home. Don't have illusions for 2nd game, too many injuries right now, will focus on the league, keep on chasing the leader, as cl qualification is already secured, looks like i pretty much play my own league now. All in control behind, and up only possible if leader struggles

I would like to say that`s 1 foot into the 1/4 final of the Champions league but it`s more the big toe as i won 1-0 away in the 1st leg

League: Crunch Time as the Buffs travel away to meet 2nd placed Airfreight FC. With a 1 pt lead this was the Buffs opportunity to re-establish some distance.

The home side set our their stall with a 5-4-1 and Buffs marched out into 4-5-1V.

Darren Fletcher must have had a bad nights sleep because Mr Nice was Mr Nasty today as he went over the top of the ball in 2 mins and the opposition ML was stretchered off. Fletcher was fortunate to see yellow only. 13 mins after they got the replacement on Airfreight went behind when Alan Hutton nodded home a Denis Law FK. The chances for the Buffs began to dry up as Airfreight pushed - and their reward came on 41 mins when they tied things up with a goal from a corner.

At HT Fletcher went off and Bremner came on. The Buffs seemed more settled and enjoyed a more productive spell - but it was Route 1 stuff. Then Gemmill burst from midfield on 61 mins to give the Buffs the advantage once more with a blistering strike. But it was shortlived as Airfreight made their presence felt from a corner kick and squared the match at 2-2. Baxter joined Fletcher on a yellow 10 mins later. Both sides seemed content to settle for a share of the points.

It would appear that the importance of the fixture was too much for the players and all creativity was stifled.

    Final Score: Airfreight 2-2 Buffs

    Goals: Hutton (19), Gemmill (61)
    Brancati (41), Duplan (68)

    Bookings: Fletcher (2), Baxter (76)

    Highlights: The final whistle.

Champions League: The Buffs were on their travels again for a CL knock out stage encounter. Despite a shaky start this proved to be a more routine affair.

The home side played 4-4-2 and the Buffs rested players to adopt a ND. Action was hard to come by until the 39th minute when the Buffs went behind to a counterattacking move.

At HT it was Blow Dries for all as Buffs Mad issued the Hairdryer Treatment - and a switc to 4-5-1V. Reserve Left Winger Davie Cooper seemed grateful for his chance as Baxter was rested. He scored on 48 mins....another 19 mins later and practically stole the ball from the restart and walked it in again just a minute later. He really deserved the applause of the crowd - not the yellow card the ref handed him 5 mins later. Archie Gemmill supplied pass from the corner that Tommy Gemmell rammed home to end the scoring.

Final Score: FC Untergang 1-4 Buffs

    Goals: Cooper (48, 67, 68) Gemmell (83).
    Benzema (39)

Bookings: Cooper (73) - Buffs have 11 yellows in last 5 matches

    Highlights: Super-sub Davie Cooper's 20 min hat-trick.

Today the scores were 2-0. Despite the possesion, despite the incredible amount of shots, not a lot of goals went in. It's becoming stupid!!

Tomorrow first leg of the 1/4 finals, big team, won't be easy. As usual always starting away. If I get the win away, I can secure the win at home afterwards.

    B team for this person...

Also, new player, a DMC, needed one with Pantin, despite the two goals he's put through in today's second game, is often injured.
He did well with his previous team, let's hope he does well with me!
