Have had him for 4 seasons, he has been the most consistent goal scorer I have ever had... I want a new player like this. He has been rated over 8 in average in the league every season. Sadly he can't keep up the training to maintain his spot in the top 11.

Don't sell him if hes performing well, silly... My flop youngster winger from youth academy (free token) had average rating 7.67 in a season as 2-star player, while my 5-star winger was warming bench with 6.33 average rating... More stars doesn't automatically mean better performance...

I wish he's performance was still at the high level, but he's been averaging 6 in the friendlies he has been playing in this season, and the competition is a 7* player...

Friendly games mean nothing tho... I have MC averaging 8 in friendlies and averaging 5.5 in competitive games... Be patient with that guy and he will be back on the tracks... One of my strikers was averaging 6.00 in his first season as 5-star player, but I was patient with him and he scored 30 goals in 31 game last season as 4-star player, averaging 7.87...

Are you insane ??? :-) Don't sell him. Players like that are hard to come by. I have a striker in his 5th season. Managed to keep him trained to 5 stars and he has been my top scorer (and the League top scorer) for 3 of those seasons. He also scored the winner in my only CL Final win to date. He's had an indifferent start this season but he's still providing passes for goals by others and is a free kick specialist so he's going nowhere. I also have my Captain who's a 3 star DC but he gets rating of 7/8/9 every game. I'll be gutted when he retires but I'll keep him to the end because he's so consistent.
I'd say keep your guy because similar players are quite rare.

bought him 3 or 4 seasons ago and still can't sell him, he is the lowest quality atm but he is the best

I agree, if he still scores keep him, try playing him in League games against the weaker opps, friendlies aren't always the best indication of a player's competition performance. I have a 2 stars DC/DMC that I intend to keep until he retires. Some players are worth keeping no matter the stars.
