Why am I losing matches when my team is better?

because you are bad at this game and should uninstall. you lack basic google search capacity to succeed in a simplistic game. may i recommend football manager 2013, so you can get smashed even harder by a computer and ragequit 2 days later? kthnxbye

Football Manager 2013 is NOT an easy game, The AI on that game seems to be very intelligent and difficult to play against.

You are asking for trouble with that formation. Any opponent playing 4-4-2 against it, with attacking wide players, will have acres of space to run at your 3 defenders. With just one MC up against 2 MCs, you are open to counter attacking. Again, with only one MC and 3 defenders, you could be faced with a 4 against 6, when your opponent has the ball.
