Your Worst Mistakes...

That's share some of our worst mistakes in the game, it will all make us feel better!

A few weeks ago I was in a two-legged quarter final and the first game I put out a second team as it was a really low ranked team. The second leg I put out a full strength team but forgot to play the match as I was flicking through the channels and by the time I loaded it up it was the 89 minute mark and they scored and knocked me out :D

Today was for me the worst one where I got into a bidding war with another player. Most times I won't go over 10 tokens if I can help it. Today I was bidding with another guy for a 44 ranked LB at $3.5m. 22 tokens later he showed no signs of giving up. It felt horrible giving up a seasons worth of tokens without getting my man, but he did end up paying around $6.8m for the player :D

What is your worst mistake? What is the most tokens you will spend in order to get a player?

Sometimes I have mistakes in my team tactics, and I'm learning a lot from them. One of my huge mistakes is that I didn't sell allways 6-5-5-5-5 rated dmc and he failed very important match for me.

I don't make mistakes... I call them trolling... :rolleyes:

Played cup 1/4 or 1/2 finals (not sure) few seasons ago against 1 star stronger, 1 higher level team. Won 1st home match 2-1 (used 4141 against 442) and though i have opportunity to kick him out. 2nd match he starts with 3n-4-3, me with 5-2n-2w-1.
HT 0-0 and my worst mistake follows: moved dc-dmc from dc to dmc position (changed formation to 451V)
FT 4-0 defeat.

+ bonus advice :D
Use dc-dmc on dmc position only if you have to (suspension or injury of main player). I found out that every dc-dmc plays dc position in better form than dmc. That is maybe why we have to buy single-position dmc or dmc-dml/r

My worst mistake was a few seasons ago when the title was down to the last game. I was playing a rather weak opponent so I decided not to watch the game. I ended up losing and finishing second:D. Had two injuries and I didn't had the auto subs on

My biggest mistake was that I started playing topeleven, so addictive :p

That's some bad luck!! I noticed 99% of the time I don't watch a game I pick up an injury. That rarely happens if I watch

Well I made alot :D
1st spending 48 tokens on a free agent !!
2nd forgot to change illegal formation after a friendly match and it costed me the only league I lost since I played T11.
3rd go in bid wars against a player called "Bui", wasted +100-150 tokens against him and I never won any auction against him.
4th I was playing illegal formations at my first season like 5-2DMC-2-1 :D but luckily won the league cuz I had strong team.

Accept a token buyer friend invitation from same level. Next season ended in a LEAGUE with 6 token buyers.

I noticed a lot of token buyers buy scout players who rank slower. Sometimes my young players can overtake them in a season and a half

My first mistake was in first 2-3 days I started. I download the game to my android and tried to find cheats for getting better my team LOL.
After that I realized what's going on, I logged on f/b and join the forum. No more mistakes - just kidding :)

Ok , the mistake I made and cost me more was before a semi-final in Cup, season 2, I power trained my players, give them green packs and played 1 hour after that. My team collapsed :(
I loose the chance for my first treble.

This happened to me once.

The worst mistake I did was giving away 20€ in July 2013 for this "game".

At least you only gave 20 euros which isn't gonna buy much else more like a couple of pizzas or something... Not like me who could of paid for a new server or coffee machine for Nordeus.

Worst mistake I made was speeding up the buildings and ground. By the time I was at level 10 I had maxed out EVERYTHING which was pretty pointless.

Thankfully I farmed the tokens, as had I paid for them it would have been quite an expensive mistake to make.

My only mistake was starting TopEleven on day 25 of the season, that's how i got 3rd place in 1st season and no cup trophy haha..
few days later i join this forum and in about 3 days i knew everything bout the game.

Once winning a Cup semi-final 2-0 to level the tie and have the away goal advantage against a weaker team on paper. I made a sub and opponent immediately scored. I lost on aggregate. Was my best chance to win the cup as on paper I was the strongest team left in it.

your worst mistake was that you supported manchester united :p

Worst mistakes so far:

1) Spending blue packs on all players to keep them 100% motivated. Even my sub players. First few seasons I was always short on blue packs.
2) Training players on the transfer list. I had a superb striker with FK SA and I got a lot of bids on him (but al 0 tokens bids). I decided to keep him like this. One morning waking up and I think, lets train my players and wham no more transfer list STR. I kept him for 2 weeks on the transfer list.
3) For the first 4-5 seasons I didn't know about watching videos. Always short of everything.

My biggest mistake surely was wasting all of my tokens for bidding war

It happened when I was playing Te for the 1st time

And of course I lost

My worst mistake was to put a player called Britney Spears as goalkeeper and make her sing the "Baby baby one more time" after concede a goal.

your worst mistake is that you didn't discover the X2 bonus in training and you spend greens to get the 10% bonus (or asking from others).
but you don't know it , yet :p

I proved it, but, for example today, the video don't give me the training item, so no x2.... yesterday or 2 days ago worked, and some days ago, again, did not, so...

I know, I just trolled you to make some (or many) people wonder wtf is that X2 training bonus.
The truth is that me also, only last 2 (?) weeks discovered and used it.
Or maybe I didn't have free vids for this so far, not sure.

yea that's true - lol
but you know (back to topic) , as I 'm not a fan of the new training system, I cannot say that I regret for this.
Those latest seasons, I won the titles I could and lost the titles I wasn't capable for :p
